Vaccination Requirements
For boarding/daycare dogs we require:
- Current Rabies Vaccine
- Distemper Combo
- Annual Bordetella Vaccine
- Annual Negative Fecal Test
- Annual Negative Heartworm Test
- We strongly encourage your dogs receive an annual CIV vaccine (Canine Influenza). We also encourage frequent visitors get bi-annual Bordetella vaccine and fecal tests. Talk to your veterinarian about the benefits and risks.
- Year-round heart worm protection is recommended. We also recommend 6 month fecal checks for regular day care clients. Strict enforcement of these rules is the only way we have to protect dogs from these common, usually preventable, health threats.
- We DO NOT require that our canine guests are spayed and neutered.
For grooming we require:
- Current Rabies Vaccine
- Distemper Combo (or titers)
- Annual Bordetella Vaccine
- We strongly encourage your dogs receive an annual CIV vaccine (Canine Influenza).
Although dogs do not socialize when they are here for grooming only, they can still contract airborne viruses. Our facility houses dogs overnight, and provides a social environment for our guests, and therefore cannot ensure that these viruses are not present in the facility.
If your dog is still a puppy (14 weeks- 1 year old) vaccination requirements vary. Please contact us for specific requirements.
For cats we require:
- Current Rabies Vaccine
- Feline Combined Vaccine
- Feline Leukemia (waived for indoor cats, with proof of negative test)
If you have an indoor cat, please contact us, as your vaccination requirements may be different from those listed. We also suggest, but do not require, that your pet is on a flea control product. Please consult your veterinarian for product information and recommendations. For the comfort of our feline guests, we require that cats over 1 year of age are spayed and neutered.
